Trevor 'The Bandit' Bosveld had a stellar night at the final meeting of the season taking the feature win and the 'Cameron' series championship. Bosveld's feature race was suberb grabbing the lead early from pole sitter Peter Newbury. Newbury ended up 2nd with a fast finsihing Peter 'Smasher' Smith in 3rd.
The Perth Motorplex surface was the best it has been all season and that reflected in the times the boys were doing. Most guys broke into the 19 second bracket with Phil Zudiema going close to the elusive 18 second bracket with a 19.011 flyer.
Peter Newbury won both the preliminary heats showing some of the form that lead him to series champion last season. His job was made all the more easy in the second heat when Graham 'Mad Dog' looped his car while leading taking Phil 'Shooter' Zudiema out of the race.
Hard luck story of the night was Koran 'Killa' Atkinson who was late to the meeting due to race committments for the Australian Street Stock Title. Going into the event Killa was 1 point behind Bosveld but was forced to start off the back row of the feature with no qualifying points. He then had to pull out of the feature race due mechanical issues.
Gentleman Jack Dolmans Snr did enough with a 5th place to secure 2nd in the series with Atkinson 3rd.
