With teams from Collie, Perth, Esperance and Kalgoorlie, and the return to the track for several drivers,
the Crowe family championship on the Collie hilltop track was shaping up to be a excellent meeting.
Racing got underway with split heats due to the good car numbers
Heat winners were two each to Colin Dolmans and Phil Zuidema, and one each to Keith Vanderleer and Aaron Hancock.
With a twenty lap feature to look forward to, all the drivers were pumped up to win.
The hard work of the night all came undone on lap two with several cars coming together
and a terrifying rollover for Dave Newbury who was shook up but fortunately unhurt.
After the restart, it was a duel between Phil Zuidema and Aaron Hancock who were pulling away from the rest of the field.
Turn three was challenging from the water used in the earlier accident but it made no difference to the final result.
Phil Zuidema, who was also last years winner, took the honours from Aaron Hancock with Keith Vanderleer rounding out the podium.
Many thanks to FORMA-TEL for their support of the series, and also to all the guys who travelled to be there. Also a huge thanks to Graham Crowe and his family for their support of AMCA WA.

Round 7 feature winner Phil 'Pretty Boy' Zuidema
The 'Forma-Tel' AMCA Action Series heads out to the red dirt of Kalgoorlie Speedway for Round 8, "Smackdown" on February 18th.
